His grandpa treated him with traditional Chinese herbal medicines. These plants’ potent medical qualities sparked a lifelong interest in Chinese herbal philosophy in Tei-Fu. He wed Oi-Lin, a brilliant Hong Kong medical student, while he was a college student majoring in herbal medicine and pharmacology. Just as those natural goods had a profound impact on Tei-Fu’s life years ago, the couple decided to combine their innate curiosity, scientific knowledge, and entrepreneurial energy to launch a company that would do the same.
The Sunrider family business is still driven by this basic principle. The Chen family includes a medical doctor named Oi-Lin and a famous herbalist named Tei-Fu, who has a background in pharmacy. With the support of thousands of encouraging Independent Business Owners and franchise shop owners, the Chen family’s worldwide enterprise, which spans almost 50 countries and territories, is guided by the five children of the owners. Housed within their American headquarters, the Chen Art Gallery showcases the private collection of the Chen family, which includes Chinese art, antiquities, and other global works of art.
